National Latino Family Expo
The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, is bringing the 2013 NCLR National Latino Family Expo to New Orleans this July. As one of the largest events in the country focused on resources and activities for Latino families, this expo is free and open to everyone. This free expo has something to offer for every member of the family!

Online Registration
The new online registration process is scheduled to begin on June 17-28 for parents and guardians to complete the online information requested. Assistance will be provided at the central office, as well as several schools sites (specific locations to be announced soon). Once the application is accepted, the parent/guardian will receive an email letting them know to complete registration by providing required paperwork to the student’s school in July.Family Day Care Home Food Program
The Office of Nutrition Assistance is a sponsor for the Family Day Care Home Food Program (FDCHFP). The FDCHFP is a USDA government program for people who are providing child care in their home.The program provides cash benefits each month to providers as reimbursement for feeding nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care.
